Rhythms

Rhythms are an important part of our everyday life. Some rhythms are good, while others are bad. As disciples of Jesus, we want to look at his life and see how we can emulate his life in a way so that we can become more like him. These rhythms are some of the ways that Jesus was intentional in living his life here on earth.

This is meant to be a guide and tool for you to use as you navigate your life with Jesus. You may choose to practice these rhythms as a connect group, as a family, or just by yourself. Whatever you choose, remember that the means by which we practice these rhythms is for us to become more like Jesus.

Prayer is a dedicated time to be with God, talk to God, and listen to God. Prayer is a way that we can partner with God to fulfill his plan on earth as it is in heaven.

The sabbath was made for humankind by God. He knew that we were not able to sustain the hustle and bustle that this world molds us into. Because of that, he created a rhythm of rest. Through the Sabbath, we are able to slow our lives down and be present for the time that God gives to us.
